Easy Dutch Apple Pie Tartlets

Makes 8-10 tartlets

Ingredients

8-10 frozen mini pie shells

Ice-cream or vanilla yogurt

For the filling:

2 apples (Such as Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, etc), diced

1 tb lemon juice

1 tsp ground cinnamon

3 tbs white granulated sugar

1 tsp cornstarch

For the crumble:

1/3 cup cold unsalted butter, grated

3/4-1 cup all-purpose flour

3 tbs white granulated sugar

1 tsp cinnamon

1/8 tsp salt

1. Preheat the oven to 350F. Line a baking tray with parchment paper, and lay the pie shells on top of the tray. Set aside.

2. In a bowl, combine the ingredients for the filling and stir. Set aside.

3. In another bowl, combine the ingredients for the crumble. Mix with your hands, until “crumbs” begin to form. You make also form crumbs with your hands by rolling out small dough balls.

4. Fill the mini pie shells with the apple filling, and then top off each tartlet with the crumble. Bake for 20-30 minutes, or until browned. Enjoy with a scoop of ice-cream or yogurt!
