30 Minute Meal: Tagliatelle Al Bolognese

Makes about 5-7 servings

Tagliatelle pasta (fresh)

1/2 onion, diced

3 cloves garlic, diced

1 carrot, diced

4-6 celery stalks, diced

250 g ground beef

250 g ground pork

1/4 cup tomato paste

1/4-1/2 cup beef broth

1/4 cup milk

Salt

Pepper

Olive oil

1. Cook the tagliatelle and coat with a bit of olive oil after it is done.

2. In a pan over medium-high heat, pour about 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Pour in the onions and garlic and saute for about 1 minute. add in the carrots and celery, and cook until soft and almost translucent. take out the vegetables and set aside.

3. Pour about 2 tablespoons of olive oil into the pan, and then add the beef and pork. break up the meat and cook the meat until fully done. Add the vegetable mixture back into the pan and stir. Season with salt and pepper.

4. Add the tomato paste and stir until incorporated. Add in the beef broth and milk. It is recommended to cook for about an hour, but 30 minutes is just fine too! Garnish with Parmigiano Reggiano.
