Feta-Stuffed Turkey Burgers with Garlic Aioli
Makes 5-6 Patties
Ingredients
Feta-stuffed Turkey Burgers
450 g ground turkey
5-6 basil leaves, finely chopped
1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
1/3 cup breadcrumbs
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 egg
2 cloves garlic, grated
2 tbsps Greek seasoning
Salt
Pepper
Vegetable or canola oil - for the pan
Burger buns
Garlic Aioli
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 garlic clove, grated
1. In a large bowl, combine all of the ingredients for the turkey burgers. mix well, using your hands. Shape the turkey burgers into patties.
2. In a regular pan or grill pan over high heat, pour in about 2 tablespoons of oil. Fry the burgers on both sides, for about 2-4 minutes per side. cover with a lid for about 2 minutes to ensure it is fully cooked through. Lower the heat if needed.
3. For the garlic aioli, mix the mayonnaise and garlic into a bowl.
4. Assemble the burgers however you want! Pictured above has red onion, arugula and spinach in the burger.
Tip: Toast the burger buns for some extra warmth and texture!
