Simple Stovetop Mac And Cheese

One of the reasons I started Earth Made Kitchen was to teach people how to cook. I collaborated with writer and blogger Emelie Samuelson, who is a self-proclaimed “terrible cook”.

We made this very Simple Stovetop Mac and Cheese a while ago, and I decided to share this with you all today - which is National Mac and Cheese Day.

Makes 4-6 servings

Ingredients

1-2 tbs unsalted butter

1-2 tbs flour

1/2-1 cup milk

3-4 cups sharp cheddar cheese of your choice (I used white cheddar), grated

Fresh or frozen kale or spinach

1 package of macaroni, cooked

1. In a large pot over medium-high heat, melt the butter. Add the flour and whisk until clumps start to form.

2. Add in the milk and whisk altogether. Add the cheese and whisk until melted. Add in the spinach or kale, and then add the macaroni. Stir until combined. Enjoy!
