Mini Beef Koftas With Feta-Yogurt Dip
Makes 14-16 koftas
Ingredients
Beef Koftas
484g or 1 package of ground beef
1 cup parsley (or half a bunch)
1/2 an onion
1 tsp garlic powder
2 tsps sumac
Pinch of salt and pepper
Dip
1 cup plain yogurt
1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
1-2 tbs chopped parsley
1/2 tsp lemon juice
Pinch of salt
To finish:
Pita bread
Lemon wedges
Parsley
Red onion
1. Preheat the oven to 400F. Line a baking tray with tin foil.
2. In a food processor, blend the onion and parsley for about 3-4 minutes. Set aside.
3. In a large bowl, combine the beef, onion/parsley mixture, garlic powder, sumac, salt and pepper. Using your hands, mix the ingredients together until incorporated.
4. Using your hands, form the beef into oval-shaped meatballs. Place the koftas on the tray and drizzle with olive oil. Bake for about 20 minutes, or until done.
5. For the dip, mix all the ingredients into a bowl. Assemble the dish with pita bread and garnishes.
