Easy Teriyaki Chicken & Broccoli

Reduced sugar recipe.

Makes about 5 servings

Ingredients

2 tsps grated garlic

2 tsps grated ginger

1/2 cup maple syrup

2 tbs brown sugar

1 cup soy sauce

1 tb seasoned rice vinegar

1 tb mirin

Vegetable oil

2 chicken breasts, chopped into medium sized pieces

1 small broccoli, chopped into medium sized pieces

Sesame seeds to garnish

1. In a bowl, combine the garlic, ginger, maple syrup, brown sugar, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and mirin, and mix all together. Set aside.

2. In a pan or wok over high heat, pan fry the chicken. Remove the chicken after it has browned and cooked on the inside, and then cook the broccoli with about 1/4 cup of water.

3. Add the chicken back into the pan with the broccoli, and then add the sauce. Stir fry all together. Top with sesame seeds.
