Simple Pan-Seared Steaks & Salad

Makes about 3-4 servings

Ingredients

Pan-Seared Steaks:

4 round steaks

Olive oil

2-3 tbs butter

2-3 garlic cloves

1-2 fresh rosemary sprigs

1-2 fresh oregano sprigs

2-3 tbs dijon mustard

2 tbs beef broth

Salt

Pepper

Salad:

Lettuce

Red onions, sliced

Cherry tomatoes, halved

Balsamic glaze

Olive oil

Salt

1. Season the steaks with salt and pepper on both sides.

2. In a pan over high heat, add the butter, olive oil, garlic and fresh herbs. Cook for about 40-50 seconds.

3. Gently move the herbs and garlic to the side of the pan, and add the steaks. As the steaks cook, add the dijon mustard and broth to the side of the pan, and gently move the pan around so the ingredients cook with the steaks.

4. Baste the steaks. Flip the steaks to the other side. Make sure both sides are seared.

5. Make the salad: Lay the vegetables on a plate and drizzle with balsamic glaze and olive oil. Sprinkle with salt.

6. Enjoy the steak and salad together!
