Honey Garlic Chicken Wings with Crunchy Asian Slaw
Makes 4-6 servings
Ingredients
Honey Garlic Chicken Wings
16-18 chicken wings
1 cup honey
2 cups soy sauce
2 tbs grated ginger
2-3 garlic cloves, grated
1 tb pepper
Sesame seeds
Crunchy Asian Slaw
Prepared slaw mix OR:
1 cup shredded carrots
2 cups shredded red cabbage
4 cups shredded green cabbage
1 cup shredded kale
plus
2 avocados, diced
1/4 cup slivered almonds
Dressing
1/4 cup sesame oil
1 tb lime juice
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tb seasoned rice vinegar
1. For the chicken wings, place all of the ingredients in a large plastic bag. Toss the plastic bag until everything is mixed through. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
2. Preheat the oven to 400F. Roast the chicken wings in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until browned on the outside and cooked on the inside. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
3. For the salad, combine all of the vegetables in a large bowl. In a smaller bowl, mix the ingredients for the dressing, and adjust if needed. Toss the vegetables and dressing.
4. Serve the dish with a bed of salad and the chicken wings on top. Top with the slivered almonds. Enjoy!
